From 1993 to 1995, I enrolled in the design course at the then College of Applied Arts (now MOME). As I did not pass the entrance examination in either year, I completed a 2-year post-graduation course in furniture joinery at the Gyula Kaesz Trade School of Woodworking. In the second year (1994) I decided to make reconstructions of some of Rietveld's furniture. A replica of the Blue and Red Chair was owned by my master Fajo, from whom I took the exact dimensions. For the other Rietveld’s furniture, my only source was the album Carsten-Peter Warncke: De Stijl, published by Taschen in 1991 and available in this country, and I sketched and worked from the object photographs and the dimensions of the enclosures shown.

In the end, I made three copies of Rietveld's Table: the first prototype (1994) was my own copy, the second reconstruction became the property of János Fajó (1994-95) and the third reconstruction became the property of art historian Éva Körner (1995).
In the summer of 1995, I was finally accepted to the design course at the Institute of Applied Arts at the University of Sopron. 

1993-tól 1995-ig az akkori Iparművészeti Főiskola (ma MOME) formatervező szakára felvételiztem. Mivel egyik évben sem sikerült a felvételi, elvégeztem a Kaesz Gyula Faipari Technikum és Szakképző Iskola érettségi utáni 2 éves bútorasztalos képzését. A második évben (1994) elhatároztam, hogy Rietveld egyes bútorainak rekonstrukcióit elkészítem. A Kék-vörös szék egy replikája Fajó mesterem tulajdonában volt, a pontos méreteit onnan vettem. A többi bútorhoz az egyetlen forrásom a Taschen kiadó által 1991-ben kiadott és itthon elérhető, Carsten-Peter Warncke: De Stijl-album volt, annak a tárgyfotói és feltüntetett befoglaló méretei alapján skicceltem, dolgoztam.
Rietveld Asztalkájából végül három példányt készítettem: az első prototípus (1994) a saját példányom, a második Fajó Jánosé (1994–95), a harmadik pedig Körner Éva művészettörténészé lett (1995).
1995 nyarán végül felvételt nyertem a Soproni Egyetem Alkalmazott Művészeti Intézetének formatervező szakára.
